On his musical journey:
From my childhood days I was very fond of folk music and used to do a lot of stage performances and be praised for them. So after I completed my school, I joined Rajasthan Sangeet Sansthan in Jaipur and earned my Sangeet Visharad. After completing my BFA, I moved to Delhi and then Mumbai, where I assisted Tabun. It was a few years back that I met Himesh Reshammiya and have been making Bollywood music since.
On creating Bollywood music
I always wanted to be part of film music. I have assisted Himesh in Aap Ka Suroor and Namaste London. After that I composed music for the movie Kaand and I have composed folk music for an English movie Loving Journey based on NRIs.
On working with Himesh Reshammiya
Himesh is a fantastic person to work with. He is not only a master composer, but also knows the art of music merchandising. He has really taught the industry how to sell fresh voices and contemporary music.
On upcoming projects
At the moment I’m composing music for a Bollywood movie Hot Chilli, which is going to be directed by Ashok Chawla. Apart from that I’m composing music for a Bhojpuri film, and two of my music albums are going to be released soon.
